@@@ Sillyboy: Stalker (Klik Records, 2014). A soft rock track that morphs into an synth-y electro track in the chorus. Super smooth singer, simple arrangement and pow, your daily recommended dose of indie electronic synth action! You know you want it. I got to this via a PR person. The outro gets into some serious vocal stacking. I got to this via a PR email.
@@@ Ghost Poet: Off Peak Dreams (Play it Again Sam, March 15) A track from a Brit that combines elements of rap/spoken word with moody Brit rock over a fairly bouncing beat. Little psychedelic sprinkles to keep things current and modern. This is the best of what I heard today. I got to this via a PR email.
@@@ Corey Dargel: There’s Nothing There (New Amsterdam, 2015). A proggy rock arrangement with a super literate soft male vocal/lyricist doing his thing. Gets a bit choral as it heads out. Not really my cup of tea, I like messy shit. I also like a smaller bagel — I don’t like those huge croquet ball affairs that take two hands to hold. I like a nice, reasonably sized bagel. I got to this via a PR email.
@@@ Fort Lean: I Don’t Mind (Ooh La La Records, 2015). A delicate blend of synth rock, classic rock guitar riffage, and frat boy funk attitude. If you like synth action with a little bit of cock rockin’ strut then get yer spoon out cuz these boys will hook your shit up. They got a little Mick Jagger thing going. Hopefully the singer doesn’t sport the same moves on the stage when they’re hittin’ it live. I got to this via a PR email.
